27.000 m2 of tranquility...
Nestled among the rolling hills of Ostuni is Olitamò's 27,000 m² estate. A serene blend of fertile arable land and ancient olive groves. Imagine yourself walking among robust trees, breathing the fresh countryside air, and reconnecting with nature in true Italian tranquillity.
This is a unique place to nurture the land, restore olive trees, and enjoy the simple joys of rural life — a haven for those who cherish nature, peace, and the timeless beauty of Italy.
The estate’s olive grove presents a diverse picture of tree health and maintenance needs, reflecting its age and natural variation. All olive trees in the grove, 61 in total varying in age and size, have been located, numbered and categorized according to the attention they deserve.
No immediate action (21 trees): These trees are currently in reasonable health, requiring only routine care to maintain their vitality.
Just OK (12 trees): These trees are generally stable but could benefit from monitoring and light maintenance to ensure continued productivity.
Action required (18 trees): These trees show signs of stress or minor decline and need targeted interventions such as pruning, soil treatment, or pest management to prevent further deterioration.
Urgent action required (10 trees): These trees are at risk and require immediate attention to address serious health issues, including possible disease, structural weakness, or nutrient deficiency.
Overall, the grove combines well-established, robust trees with a subset requiring intervention, offering both immediate opportunities for restoration and long-term potential for a productive, healthy olive grove.
In the Olitamò Grove, every olive tree has been mapped and assessed: some need urgent care, others simply a gentle hand. By supporting this project, you directly contribute to sustainable restoration — saving trees from decline, strengthening biodiversity, and keeping the rural landscape of Ostuni alive.
Together, we can ensure that these trees continue to bear fruit for generations to come.
